3B Scientific® 4th Order Segmental Bronchi

The 4th Order Segmental Bronchi is an optional add-on designed to enhance the functionality of the 3B Scientific Airway Management Trainer (11-81-6007, sold separately). This module features highly realistic anatomical structures, accurately replicating the human trachea and bronchial tree. Users can practice advanced airway procedures including bronchoscopy, foreign body removal, and airway obstruction management. Featuring detailed bronchial bifurcations and over 20 visible anatomical landmarks, this module offers a realistic hands-on training experience for students and medical professionals.

Key Anatomical Features:

• Trachea: Includes tracheal membrane, cartilage ring notches, aortic arch crossover curvature, carina, and left main bronchus pathway
• Bronchial Bifurcation: Features 28 branching points, visualizing third- and fourth-level bronchi
• Main Bronchi: Includes left and right main bronchi. The right bronchus branches into upper, middle, and lower lobes, while the left bronchus branches into upper and lower lobes
• Segmental Bronchi: Provides a detailed view of segmental bronchi and their tertiary branches

Training Capabilities:

• Bronchoscopy: Supports flexible bronchoscope use for airway examination, lavage, and foreign body removal
• Airway Obstruction Simulation: Can replicate partial or complete airway obstruction for advanced training scenarios (deformable upon manual compression or clamping; clamps should not be used for long-term storage)
• Foreign Body Placement: Simulates solid, liquid, or mixed foreign bodies in the airway
• Challenging Removal Training: Supports extraction of objects up to three times the tracheal diameter, ideal for advanced retrieval training
• Comprehensive Internal Cleaning: Made of biodegradable latex, the module is easy to maintain and can be flushed with water for thorough cleaning
