CAE Blue Phantom Renal Biopsy Ultrasound Training Model

This full-torso model enables repeated core needle biopsies, or needle aspirations via an anatomically correct adult male torso. The patented Simulex^™ tissue and kidneys allow learners to practice ultrasound imaging and procedural skills, including using ultrasound system controls, positioning and moving the transducer, recognizing the kidney anatomy and appearance of ribs, targeting the appropriate location for renal biopsy, and performing an ultrasound-guided renal biopsy procedure. The kidney contains the renal cortex, renal medulla and major and minor calyx. The Simulex^™ tissue has self-healing properties, allowing for 1000+ punctures when used with 18-21 gauge needles.
